Overview
The Innovation Lab is a maintenance and design center for Clayton Homes. It houses the corporate campus maintenance and new home design departments.
The Design Center
The design center area includes several collaborative rooms, sample rooms, 3-D virtual tour capabilities, state-of-the-art conference rooms, and team member workstations.
The Maintenance Department
The Maintenance Department area contains maintenance workstations, locker rooms with showers, racking systems for needed parts and supplies, paint booth, machine and wood working shop, compressed air loop, and material lift to easily move material safely between floors.
Interesting to Note
We started the Innovation Lab as a masonry maintenance shop for the corporate facility team. Through Preconstruction meetings we learned of the upcoming Innovations Lab project and were able to integrate both projects into one building that best utilized the available parcel of property on campus and minimize the infrastructure costs associated with a new building.
