Joseph Construction Company was chosen to build the new Oconaluftee Visitor Center in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Features
The facility is designed to earn a minimum of Gold-level LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.

Interior
The facility includes a visitor orientation and information center, cultural history exhibits, store, fully accessible restrooms, and an after hours orientation and backcountry permit kiosk.

Exterior
The 7,000 square foot center is just inside the park at the Cherokee, North Carolina entrance.
